My cat was exploring and playing in the backpack as soon as I put it out - so that’s a thumbs up. She can lie down with the extension opened - also great.

This baby is STUR-DY. My girl is on the hefty side for a kitty, always has been even as a kitten. I still can comfortably and confidently put her in this and put her on my back. Pretty spacious, but I do have a critique. Love all the mesh windows, she's anxious so I think it helps to have full range of sight for the most part. It's also nice that unless someone is close up, they would have no idea my cat is on my back.
Only real downside is the fold out part is kinda a b*tch to put away. That could be my error, but it always bulges in backpack form and presses against her. That affects the amount of space she gets, but she can easily maneuver herself in there still. Otherwise, great product.

Great size (plenty of room for your cat), weight (not going to be too heavy for you to carry), and adaptability (you can expand the carrier, you can also sit just the backpack in a vertical or horizontal position.) Highly recommend it!
** Important note for those using in an airplane: When sitting upright, this does not fit under an airplane seat. You need to put the backpack with the backside on the ground in order for them to fit under the plane seat.

This backpack is EXCELLENT! VERY Comfortable to wear with the back and shoulder padding and the chest and waist clips hold it firmly in place. The zippers everywhere are fabulous! As it gives lots of options for how we use it, as well as put the dog in (through the top or side opening). My dog weighs 8 pounds and I purchased the green, which is a nice muted green color. It packs away easily and takes up nearly no space when it's not in use. Pockets on both sides hold the necessities. AND It is comfortable for our little pup too, when traveling on my back as well as a portable lounge/sleeping area with the pop-out. AND I believe, I will be able to take this on the plane since the measurements comply with the airline guidelines and it's soft sided and will fit under the seat! This is not just well designed but well made! I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this purchase! A win, win, win!!! all around!

My cat use to weigh 17 and now he weighs 14.5 so finding the best carrier that supports his weight was a struggle until I found this one! Best carrier for bigger cats.

Very sturdy but at the same time the seam that holds a rod that goes horizontally across the bag right under the front window has come undone. I will look into either exchanging it or maybe trying to sew it myself, however I don't want to have to do that. It could be that was just a one off bc other than that the bag is very sturdy and my kitten loves it.
